Frequently Asked Questions
How much wastage should I plan for?
Standard rectangular layouts need 10% extra. Diagonal patterns need 15%. Complex patterns or small rooms with many cuts may need up to 20%.
What grout gap width should I use?
Standard grout joints are 1/16" to 1/8" (0.0625 to 0.125 inches) for rectified tiles. Natural stone and larger tiles often use 1/8" to 3/16" gaps.
